Part of the Thimbleby Estate and surrounded by thousands of acres of heath and woodland, Thimbleby Shooting Ground lies in an idyllic rural setting on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.
Founded in 1988 Thimbleby is now one of the country’s premier shooting grounds, open six days a week and boasting a range of stands to suit all abilities.
Catering for everyone from complete novices through to experienced shots, our team of professional instructors can offer a range of services from one to one tuition through to hosting large corporate events and everything else in between.
Predominantly an English Sporting Clay Shooting Ground, we also offer have a small air rifle range along with a variety of sporting targets such as high pheasant, springing teal and bolting rabbits and can also offer shooters a flush or flurry to round off their day.
We are the first ground in the UK to exclusively operate state of the art, wireless controlled traps, ensuring clays are consistently delivered using a simple card system which allows customers to activate the traps whilst keeping track of the clays used. The system also enables solo shooters to enjoy a round by themselves.
