After leaving school I was a full-time gamekeeper and worked as a gamekeeper for the next eighteen years. My father worked as a gamekeeper so the love of wildlife and country was in my blood.
During my years of growing up and game keepering my love of drawing became more apparent. Then in 1994 I went self employed as an artist and taxidermist, specialising in pet portraits.
All my portraits are drawn in a coloured charcoal / chalk pastel pencils from photographs. The photographs need to be clear and have a lot of detail, because eye colour and full detail is what gives the character of the pet.
The work can be framed or unframed as required and can be safely sent through the post.
